Hello! I am Andrea, a 20-something wife and hopefully soon-to-be mom. My husband Will and I are in the process of trying to make our lives a lot more crispy (not crunchy).
We are accomplishing this by evaluating and changing:
- How we think about food in terms of where it’s coming from, what’s in it, and how it it impacts our bodies and the environment.
- How the cleaners and other chemicals we introduce into our home influence our health, and the health of our child(ren).
- How decisions we make in our day-to-day lives lasts a lot longer than just that one day, like generation of waste, throwing food out, etc.
Our overall goal is to create a healthy baby by breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and babywearing as much as possible. We hope that by doing so we create a person that has great respect for the environment, him/herself and others, and understands the importance of making informed decisions. That won’t be possible until we make ourselves healthy first.
Follow along as my husband and I share our humorous (at times), brutally honest, and a little crazy attempt to make ourselves healthy, our home healthy, and a healthy baby! I mean let’s face it, Kermit was right- it’s not always easy being green. Just do me a favor… let’s call it crispy (not crunchy) okay?
